LondonAustralia - work

Mark Twain, the celebrated 19th century American writer once said:

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."

With that said, it’s time to expand your horizons and leave your comfort zone. Explore, dream, discover what opportunities are waiting for you in the UK and in Australia.

You see, international careers do not just appear. They don’t knock at your door – you have to find them.

You see, international careers do not just appear. They don’t knock at your door – you have to find them.

If you’re a Brit who has set your eyes on working in Sydney, or working in Australia generally, you need to carefully plan your options. Likewise, if you’re an Aussie packing off to the mother country.

You have to build that plan over time.  You need to know the demands of international employers, the working culture of the UK and Australia.  The so-called ‘international experience’ is not necessarily being in the place you’re setting your sights on.  You can gain that international experience by delving into all things international while you are at your home country. You need to build up a muscle of international experiences before you are ready to start applying for professional international jobs.

Have a great time exploring, dreaming, discovering!
